Amanda MacDonald RCT-C

Welcome- I am so glad you are here!

My name is Amanda MacDonald and I am a Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate). I bring over 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families. My professional background began in education, where I worked as both an educator and most recently as a Program Planning Specialist with the Halifax Regional Centre for Education. Through this work, I developed a deep appreciation for the complexities of development and the unique needs individuals and families carry as they move through different stages of life.

I approach my work with a strong belief in each person’s capacity for growth and resilience. There can be comfort in knowing you are not alone as you navigate life’s challenges. Through collaboration and reflection, we will work together to build practical, meaningful strategies that support your goals, balancing understanding and acceptance with the changes that help you move forward.

In the therapy room, you can expect a space that is warm, supportive, and grounded in respect for your story. I aim to create an environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore challenges, build skills, and move toward meaningful change. If you are curious and would like to learn more or are wondering if we are a good fit, I welcome you to reach out to book a free 15-minute consultation.
